Fadia Abdel Rahman Khaled, Director of the Library of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Zakho, participated in 84th IFLA General Conference and Assembly held in Kuala Lumpor , Malaysia, 24-30 August, 2018. The conference attracted more than 3,500 participants from more than 110 countries around the world. It also witnessed more than 250 open meetings, 120 poster sessions and 600 speakers. 20 participants were from Iraq. The aim of the conference was to achieve two main goals: to discuss the "Global Vision" (IFLA) by providing an opportunity to have a global conversation with librarians and library friends around the world. The second objective is to activate the digital map project for international libraries, as well as contribute to the development of global libraries of developing countries.
